Cheap ingredients and servings, but well-prepared. The burger patties are cooked better than most places, but they're abysmally small and under-proportioned. Their chicken sandwiches are even more guilty of well-fried but barely any chicken in 'em. Condiments are all prepped really well, but they're flavorless and there's so little of them.I personally come from the mentality that if a smash burger has bites where it's all semi-stale overly-sweet bread, something is wrong. The few times I've been here, there's far more of those bites than a relatively expensive burger ever should.I want to like this place more because it's all really well-prepared stuff. Seasoned well, cooked with care. But it feels like I'm paying twice as much as I should for what's being served. And it needs to be said again that the ingredients are cheap as heck. If the burgers were sub-$10, maybe - but they are not.

Flattop style burger with a view of San Diego Airport. Opted for a single smash for lunch. If it was later in the day would've went double. Soft bun with flavorful patty seasoned well shoestring fried compliment meal. Overall great burger if in the area. Have always tried Rubicon but opted for burger today. Worth a try
